The Future I Recall  Sweet memories drift back to me A smile crosses lips I recollect a time when you were at my fingertips Once upon a romance when we danced 'neath lover's moon When every word in whispered breath would cause my heart to swoon A hug, a kiss...sweet reminisce It seems like yesterday When you were here beside me loving me your gentle way And, now I long to hear your voice Sweet music to my ears To know once more the sound of you after oh so many years Thinking back to hearts entwined How quickly I could fall Can't help but wonder is it 'past' or 'future' I recall Vicky L. Thinking back to hearts entwined How quickly I could fall Can't help but wonder is it 'past' or 'future' I recall ~*~ Vicky, this particular poem always made me feel very close to you...to share the give and take of now and then, and intertwine them in one's thought processes, knowing all is possible... Thank you for putting up with a bit of a nag...  |
