long vaccination wait ahead one of dozens appeared instead for their annual shot all for a lonely doctor in on Sundays time passes as the crowd thins out not allergic to eggs no listed oral medications generally in good health the wait in good health dozens for their annual shot of attenuated virus created such that one has to return until the next lonely year of another wait in anonymous clinic a one year dose is not enough arguement goes the genome mutates might wait for the alteration to occur take a flu shot next year.. obigations thrown at the consumer a return again for egg incubated stuff a long waited return as the genome mutates the earth rotates all is subject dependant on whims of a health standard officialdom... and one really never knows if a shot was ever needed but precautions were heeded. |

and one really never knows if a shot was ever needed but precautions were heeded No, one really never knows! That's why I always disobey my doctor who is PRO ... The question remains controversial ... but I am sure many really profit. Enjoyed your ponderings on this annual theme. Love, Margherita |

My mother-in-law, age 96, could not get her flu shot this year. She is living in fear of getting the flu, now. I had one last year - and doubt that I will do THAT again. The shot made me sick... And Margherita makes a good point... someone benefits... |

I haven't had to have a shot and hope I don't have too. Hate getting poked in the arm,in the backside. :-) Within this heart you'll find love |

Fascinating article on the flu shots - one clinic ordered theirs early in late spring - the shipment was back ordered - their cost was to be around $9 per vaccine - come fall, they ordered again - a rush - this order was sent - twenty some odd dollars per vaccine - their back order never arrived - somebody profits? You bet - On the other hand, good friend of mine, older, came down with the flu - the virus invaded her heart - she had to have a transplant - would the vaccine have prevented that? So if you're in an at risk group - go for it - as for me - relatively healthy - I'll pass, thank you Enjoyed this - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

With my lung problems, I'm supposed to get a flu shot every year. They also give pneumonia shots, but they only have to be taken about every five years. I think they may benefit people who are really prone to get bad cases of the flu or pneumonia. A well written poem, Mrtin. Hugs, Ethel |

Susan I do think the vaccine might have prevented invasive risks..we take the shot anyway whether it costs or doesn't.. |
