Staring at passing cumulus, wishing to fly free above these wicked western winds, seeking to be as a mindful mist kissed by sweetest sunrise, pulling back the blackest veils of night, blowing breaths of fresh air over blanketed boughs of life’s burdens. I am saturated, drink the day embraced by candled mountaintops ensconced within luminescent beams, projectiles of sunlight invite me to dance the rainbow’s dream in soulful surround sound welcoming a new day as caressing winds urge me to climb beyond these self-made ceilings, above the tree tops I forested long ago. Yet as fingertips stretch themselves taut, I hear myself shout resiliency be damned! and find myself again resigned to abide within this earthly realm, though it be mere molten magma, until beyond this life’s battlegrounds I dare step upon the next passing cloud, thus relieving myself of this transient mindset. * |

You? Relieved of it? This reminds of "Wandering Angus". I enjoy your ephemorality, if but vicarously. e |

Krawdad-e have you any idea where that reply led me? Thanking you, for I had somehow overlooked Yeats, and do not remember reading the Angus poem. Perhaps I am part Sidhe? I owe you big time, for this, for you've triggered a whole chain of other musings I buried in my mind's dark corner long ago. Perhaps the affinity for this wandering mindset helps to explain my attraction to the old song 'Wayfaring Stranger? and similar tunes of constantly travelling spirits? Dixie, not sure why anyone would be excited about my wanderlustful soul, but thanks for reading. LOL, I don't suppose I'll ever stay put for long until my final forever comes. But I'm not intending to move again just yet...but ask me in a year or two? |

Well I am excited too - so there! You are free to do whatever, and go wherever your two feet take you, and in it is always an adventure I somewhat envy. As you say here, welcoming a new day and always making the very best of it. Take care Kacy, and don't forget to write us along your way. |

I can dig it...you keep stepping high, low or whatever works at the time.It seems to me that both the king and pawns end up in the same box once the games over. Live like it's your last day... |

I swear you were Marco Polo in a previous life. Your energy amazes me. But then, I was a sloth in a previous life, so I'm easily impressed by that sorta thing. |

Sent you on a trip, eh? How appropriate, and you are welcome. Sit still too long and one can lose all sense of direction. Just got a couple of books on or by Yeats. Hope to learn more about what might be behind "Wandering Angus" (one of my favorites). e |

LOL, yes, you sent me all the way back in time actually, to the origins of Druidry, and part of my soul's heritage from across the seas. *sigh* Happy readings |
