Rant #34

If men say I'm beautiful
why haven't I been kissed yet?

It's 2 weeks till my birthday
and I'll be 19 years old
in in one year twenty
and after that twenty one

Have you feaqlt like a loser
I do right at this moment

I was working on 8 guys
Thinking one would ask me out
Lets just say it didn't work
Now I have nothing at all

I'll grow old with lots cats
on top of a haunted hill
and I'll be " crazy lady"

Its been this way for the last 3 years.

Once I dreamed

I dreamed of butterflies
and princess fantacies

For I was Princess Juli
and all would bow for me.

I danced on the blue sky
with prince charming and all

The moon and stars became
my tiarra of gold

Once I dreamed of my life
and dreamed of one true love

Now I just run and hide
afraid of betrayel

I look up and wonder
Am I still a princess?

I was there in High School. girls were a constant struggle. I was pretty geeky, I suppose...band, swim team, braces, glasses, 5'2" tall. 135 pounds. Pretty bad. Low and behold. Another 7 inches, 50 pounds,and numerous years in the Marine Corps netted me a girl. Can you believe it? I would have gotten one anyway, sooner or later. There is someone out there for everyone. It just takes time (as it did me) to find the one. Keep your eyes open and take time to notice everyone around. It will probably be someone you'd least expect. Us guys are pretty timid around pretty girls. We may need some coaxing. Thanks for taking me back to a dreary time LOL. I enjoyed the poems and will be watching and responding to more of your work. I found them refreshing, well constructed, and visually entertaining. You have a gift. Keep writing!

-Hmmm. Well I guess I am not a geek. I was in band, I wasn't a part of it. I kinda didn't like any one in highswchool so it was more me then. I am pretty and smart so I probably find some one. (;
