It makes you afraid to be so exposed— All the colors and movements almost hurt your eyes. Here there are crowds for whom living is a given, (no one here dwells on killing themselves). It's all so very new for you, an absence of darkness. At least, alone in your windowless cell, there was always a place to hide. Then out of the plane for which you've been waiting, dressed in a suit he finally arrives. Suddenly frail, and gaunt with anguish, again a girl, you come: to his arms, a familiar being, the man who loves you, your only connection to this world of light. |
