The Space Between There’s a chill in the air tonight and it’s taking me past the moon in the space between the milky way and the darkness of my room It holds me there on darkened plane against a breath so clear that I can feel the silken touch of millions of loving years The place is pealed by laughter and glittered by lullaby and it rocks a memories cradle and it drinks the hurt from sigh It is filled with music’s silence and the peace of holding hands the calm of ocean floating and the strength of a golden band There’s a light in the air tonight and the path it takes is clear its way is starlit dreaming that has turned away dark fear There’s a chill in the air tonight and it’s taking me past the moon in the space between the milky way and the darkness of my room ---------- A repost |

Martie, I enjoyed this, the flow of the words, the pictures that fell from the page to my eyes. All of it, it is a very good poem...thanx for sharing it again with those of us who may have never been able to see it the first time. |

Sometimes light doesn't matter because our eyes are so blasted by the brightness that we can't open them....and sometimes what we think is silence, is really our own ears shutting down, overloaded by the din that surrounds us. Sometimes we feel alone in the way that cold water feels hot on frostbitten skin....not because it is a truth felt, but only because of a change in the way our spirits define loneliness. The good news is, it can go both ways. Dim can seem bright, silence alive with sound, and solitude can be good company. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Well now, I must say I am most happy you reposted this...I missed it before, of this I'm certain. Lovely ethereal feel to it, with a buoyant rhythm to energize. One constructive critique, I think you mean "memory's cradle" rather than "memories cradle." Let me know, please, if I need to reconsider that idea...perhaps you mean a cradle of memories rather than a cradle belonging to one's memory. If so, I need to read that section with a different eye. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
