I Heard

I heard the music of the soul
It filled the silence of the whole
The drum that beat and beat and beat
The rhythm of the dancing feet

The ecstasy of weaving flail
Hypnotic in a moan of wail
A giving to delirium
The serum of sensorium

And hence it sense into a sigh
The waters, earth and clouds on high
Into a mill of turning will
That could not leave the body still

It echoed through the stamp of feet
That kept the tempo of the beat
To bring illusions fantasy
To sway the mind in ecstasy

And in the twisting dancing bend
One and one touched end to end.

This poem and these great two lines struck a chord with me.  Thank you for a great poem so early in the morning.  Steve.

A giving to delirium
The serum of sensorium

==============================

Could that be any cooler?????
Your wit and word play make me delightfully delirious LOL

Love the beat of your rhymes Sy-babers...youre starting our day out with a cadenced tune that will carry us along in your song.

*ww*

when you walked into the room it felt like time was standing still.
and I felt fascination...then my heart gave me away.

What you heard was carried forward
in what you wrote, Sy.  This is excellent.

Thank you for the morning's glory!

Sy, you always write it so well..

Unfortunatly sometimes people see the fantasy as reality and don't ever live what is real...
