My neighbor’s llama, I call him Daily, for he appears daily to be more aware than most, more aware of this world’s most urgent problems and needs, and daily holds his head high (but never in condescending fashion) and has just informed my derriere that I have seriously misjudged the crux of the problem, and must now readjust both my rear view mirror and GPS so as not to make the same mistakes over and over again. But then he also acknowledged that I was, after all, only human and therefore subject to falling prey to fool’s gold and polished shiny objects, much like the noisey crow who appears to know much, but often tricks only himself. For it’s my misguided faith, to have naively believed that all sentient beings understood that peace is not obtainable through violence. Yet daily Daily reminds me I must not beat myself up, must not stop sharing this message, that I must continue to repeat this essential truth: Peace is not obtainable through violence. What a smart llama. |

When I was a kid, a neighbor had a llama... And BOY! could he spit! Also a smart llama, taught us kids to keep our distance. LOL |

The human species has yet to rise above the level of "tribe" and I suspect that we will fail to do so. |

Tribal behavior has good points as well as bad. Once we all accept that the world's survival depends upon everyone on earth having the basics; food, shelter, education, freedom of assembly, freedom to practice or not practice their own version of faith, well, unless...and until |
