Her gaze, beneath perfect brows, those which said yes, no...perhaps maybe to an unsuspecting stranger. Centuries of war had been waged to see beyond the sheen of darkened eyes. Beyond the lace that covered swells of seas and shoals of waters that drenched a man’s thirst in salt...bitter brine before the sweetness of lips overcame. ~ A tune she sang of love, of wars and life or death. Of mountains that skirted rocky shores...all this from warmest breath. She called them all, those manly men, of wars and boats in sail....Of gallant rides upon the green...in wait of those that wail. They came to her, in lusting leer, in search the sins of men. They wished to stroke her silky thighs, they hungered once again.. For in the night when darkness came and stirred the fires of them. She walked alone, her hair aflame, in wait their every whim. And when the dawn did crease the skies and turned it all to gold....she played the pawn and heard their cries....those warriors then once bold. Till men no longer live or tell a passion’s tale ....a woman knows to lead them on a winding trail... |
