Stop, look both ways....then go...
Sometimes it seems so simple as part
of life each day.  Until...

We realize suddenly there was no stop sign
at that intersection of life.

And we put the pedal to the metal, feeling
the energy flowing through us...heading
headlong into the unknown...What is the
speed limit?   That last sign, I think it
said 65?  Or maybe it was 55...

Some days seem this way....barreling along
a highway, everything whizzing past.  And
someone trips a switch.   The lights come
on briefly, then dim to nothingness.

Blind, like a bat out of hell, not a clue
where life is headed....wondering where the
next sign to anywhere is....

Yes, some days are just that way.

Sometimes - when becoming absorbed in thought while driving, I find myself doing 15 or 20 miles over the speed limit on a back road - shoot howdy - lucky I don't get a speeding ticket - and it's a wonder I make my destination, 'cause sometimes I don't remember driving there -hehe - yes, let's slow down and see our surroundings - life's better that way - 'sides, the years only seem to speed up as we age
