Profound, This thought, As I review, scrutinize, inspect And examine Page 370 to 371 Of Webster’s New Explorer Thesaurus… Just imagine… That four letter, root-based word taking up so much room… And I am sure to the bank With money bet strong, That had they allowed A veritable wordsmith his moment, That exact, monumental, and utterly Profound moment of overfilled ecstasy, When the heart beats not as a muscle, In spite of ourselves, But because he felt it more so Deep within his chest, Drumming blood into his ears, almost, Veritably, deafening, all for the sigh(t) Of…her… Oh, surely, He would have conspired, for That word to have encompassed A whole page… That declaration Known as Love. ~*~ For August 1, Happy Anniversary, Serenity… |
