I stepped aside I turned aside but not with pride This phantom plight of my abide And though I have no answer yet I hang my head on this beget The night was cool the moon in rule With silver light that seemed to drool And coin sized leaves they danced the breeze That hung the branches of the trees Displaying shadows of the host That drugged my mind with symbols post And set a passion to my leer I could not stop the face of fear I gazed into a whim of fire Brought about by my desire Reached my hand into the flame And screamed in cry I am to blame And they’re upon the pain of red I turned in sweat upon my bed. |
