you were dark water I was neon with shadows like sandal shoes and black socks but both the right size sitting on the corner there of accidental and probably not waiting for the same bus that didn't run that day you said you didn't need any men or trust them that much or want them around necessarily I said I didn't too especially for the woes of the wo kind most of the time since there just wasn't time we found an old moon under the sky and took turns sleeping on it with our eyes open you called me god when we made love I said it was just sex or a curse depending on when and who was believing and you took off your skin and showed me your heart I called you god then you said it was just love or pain depending on when or who was lying and who was trying we agreed we didn't need or want or have time but we would do it again tomorrow _______________ Dark |
