You would think you could pick it
right up from its spot
as easily as if it were a yellow flower;
a shining jewel, prominent between my eyes, balancing on my nose
appearing as though it were me that shot it into the nightsky;

yet the trees that are diminished by its magnitude
remind of its abyssfull of distancing miles between;

and how it can live in your eyes, or sneak behind your shoulder
as you walk the path of silence,
yet be as detached from you as you are from it;

tonight the sun ran off,
tucking itself into the black blanket sky,
leaving me and moon suspended,
staring across at eachoter through the lifeline that connects us somehow,
through the bridge of an untouchable unseen sky,

within these hours of love's fragility,
that flicker like a baby's breath upon a candle,
amid the confusion and the darkness of days
past and possibly those to come,
amid illusion and wishful thinking,
selfdoubt and turmoil,
this big little moon is my constant,
my connection to god's heaven;

we hang together between dawns of tiny raindrops
through nights of a zenithfull of oceans
on strands of faith woven
upon unseen untouchable skies.

A powerful, magical vision beyond the "visible".
You are beautifully moon-inspired!

Yes,  you certainly are inspired by that
orb which the multitudes have written of,
dreamed of and sat watching endlessly in
a clear sky above.....
