FUNNY BIRD I'm not me I just Pretend The me I am Is not enough But the me you know I wear So well You dress me up As something great While I just want To be myself But Hide I do So well And under this Bravado shell A spirit free Who'd like to sing But silence I know So well It fills me with a longing So strong It draws the air Out of my chest Yet still I breathe So well But hiding in silence Pretending to sing Is tearing me apart So well [This message has been edited by Broken (07-26-2004 11:42 PM).] |

I think its an epidemic I really like your poem - this describes the me I'm used to being - but I'm learning how to sing. I've discovered I can actually sing and I love it and the me who I am is enough You have no idea how relevant this poem is to me, thanks for sharing |

Interesting write. Enjoyed. Has anyone ever told you that in your pic, you look similar to David Copperfield the magician? That's a good thing. Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. |

Ah, try having multiple me's, one to fit a variety of friends and family. Ha, but not so any longer. I am learning to be the truth of me and leave others to their own conclusions. I liked the thoughts behind this. susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

"And under this Bravado shell A spirit free Who'd like to sing" Broken, you expressed yourself "so well." |
