I've been using up my lives, They used to number, nine! Heaven didn't beam me up, 'Cause it hadn't been my time. I have fallen from a rooftop, I have fallen off a cliff. I've been rolled in a car, And been paralyzed stiff! I've been assaulted and abused, I've been hacked and I've been sawed. I've broken many of my bones, I've been poked and I've been prod. I have fallen off a ladder, I have fallen in a hole. I've been attacked by evil spirits, That tried to suck my soul. I've endured many an illness, I've suffered endlessly. I've wondered why the Universe, Would never let me Be. These trials I had by fire, Didn't bring about my fall. No matter the tribulation, I was strong and I stood tall. But through it all, I grew in strength, And knew God had a plan, That wisdom came from adversity, And I learned to understand. I've been using up my lives, They used to number, nine. Heaven didn't beam me up, 'Cause it hadn't been my time! |
