I rather not go like this, Given a smile instead of a kiss; I’d call you back, But the courage I lack, So you walk slowly away. My spirit is shadow, Desire longs to follow, But “rules of engagement” Disallows the rearrangement, Perhaps another day. Traffic static sounds, Chaos swirls all around And to darkness I bound, Sadly, safely away. Gloom |
