park, ducks me the ducks none of us with anyplace to go they have greater range not too shy to swim and free from all this remembering they know where bread comes they crowd to it two watchful crows like border collies at the edges together is natural for them how they always are here they have the edge on me there too don’t they all of them agree flap sudden out across the lake and gone even the feathers they left behind won’t help me do that |

Sounds like a very lonely day in the park. May your wings fly you wherever you wish to go... EA |

nicely done sir. While the ducks may indeed have some advantages... they don't write, and you do, which gives you one up on them. |

the golf course where I work has ducks all over the front lake...we feed them at the guard shack...I watch them make their way and often think the same thing |

together is natural for them how they always are here they have the edge on me there too don’t they Oh, my friend... once again your format adds another wonderful dimension to your words... the reader experiences your drift and lack of direction AND the forlornness... This is absolutely excellent!! |

Sad isn't it Ed....when the ducks have the upper hand...such simple pleasures and the ability to fly away from it all.... |

This is achingly lovely, Ed. The construction of it played out a certain quality of faltering thought of alone and yet yearning that struck inner chords for me. I enjoyed this very much. |
