As a child he was abandoned, By the town-folk he was branded, They called him little uh-oh, the reason why because, No one ever claimed him, a mistake they said he was His mother was a prostitute, his father was unknown, He begged and stole to make his way, no home to call his own, The local boys all taunted him and beat him endlessly, All the while he stood his ground, said one day they shall see, No one ever saw him cry, no matter what they did, The only time he ever cried, was when at night he hid, Amongst the boxes in the alley, behind the general store, Curled in a ball amid the trash, he cried some day I’ll take no more. It was one hot and steamy day, early in September, That uh-oh up and left the town, the best that I remember, Life went on and all forgot that he’d ever been alive, No one heard or saw of him, ‘til late in sixty-five, When straight down Main came little uh-oh, Driven in a great big limo… He stopped in front of the Half-Moon bar, And stepped right out of that fancy car, An Italian suit, a diamond ring, An air about him, in his step a spring, Who is this man the town-folk wondered, Had he got lost, to their town blundered, But then he said, don’t you recognize, Who I am, right before your eyes? I’ve made it rich, got fancy clothes, Making canned pasta, uh-oh spaghetti o’s. |

I was about to sob, then, oh my -- what a surprise -- tee hee. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
