As I walk across this playing field, Where abandon asphalt stays in chain Refuses games that laughter yields, Revealing the increase in apparent pain. Asphalt hopes sag into trash filled sinks And weeds define the growing cracks. Not as smooth as the ties think Or the locker never looking back. Gloom |
