burning hatred
for the tears rolling down your face
you'll let the breeze from the window,
dry them on your face
like scars
like bruises
begging they would stay
just so you'll remember this feeling
this emptiness
writting down these words in a frenzy
you need the emotion down on paper
before it drys in the wind with your tears
you've never felt so alone in your life

not when you stood waiting for your
mother to pick you up after school in the freezing cold.

not when the only man you've ever loved,
kissed your best friend.

not when your grandfather died in his hospital room,
with only the sound of his beating heart slowing down to keep him company,
while you..you were at school.

you know you're young
you know you've got time to feel complete
but what if there is no tomorrow?
what if this is all one dream
and yesterday is a memory
and tomorrow will never come

where will all the time in the world be then?

Very powerful.  And it tears at my heart.  I understand what it is to feel so utterly alone, though it has been many, many years now.  It is our perception, I promise.  For me it was reading books that inspired spiritual growth and change (I don't mean religion) and the counsel of one who knows more than I.  Not to mention a treatment for some chemical adjustments needed.

Writing is a catharsis, though, yes?

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Chelsea, in the course of four years, there was so much pain and death in my life, I thought I would build an island around myself and never care for another.  That was a long, long time ago......time does bring change.  I hope it brings you something special.  Then someday you will look back at this "Time" in a much different way.  It's good you can get your feelings out so well with writing.   ....jo

I'm going through some pain right now too but I hope that you can be strong, as well as I, and pull through. Writing it down is the first step to getting it out of the system. Time heals all wounds, if you let it.
