I Muse the Words I muse the words like a fiddle Like the sensual of a dream The beginning end and the middle And I am lost in sound supreme. I vibrate on each string and phrase And slide my fingers on the quill Feel the fire of each blaze And lay my heart upon the thrill Each word a butterfly of utter That lands upon my senses snare Turn my mind and thoughts to butter More than a loving soul can bear. I dance the music of naïve Night and day it sways in bend It is the needle of the weave That holds the colors to its end God grant surcease this ache of find Each word wakes fire in my mind. |
