My computer has had some serious conflicts. It takes me several days of trying just to get on the net to check my mail one time. I hope to get it resolved tonight. If so you will see more of me again. Sorry for the lack of posts. Hope you enjoy this one. Take care everyone! Trapped Under Ice I can see clearly these azure heavens above me, ladened in ivory hues, stretching beyond the edge of my sky. I can see clearly These banks once alive in the spirit of spring, now cloaked in drifts of untouched snow beyond the reach of my hindered grasp. I can see clearly These gentle souls once dancing happily by summer’s silver light, now cold and distant. Lowering their gaze upon me underneath their fascist boots Beyond the reach of my silenced voice. I can see clearly My unyielding spirit once living at life’s surreal edge, now fading into memories tethered to this weathered man weary of laboring for those Beyond the reach of my higher understanding. I can see clearly now all things around me drifting into their natural state beyond my control, as leaves on the wind. I can see clearly now that chaos reigns above me well beyond my principled plan. Yet, for a moment, I have found my peace here trapped under ice. Copyright, Kevin V. Reese, 2004 |

I can see clearly now all things around me drifting into their natural state beyond my control, as leaves on the wind. That's such a nice thought~ |

"I can see clearly now that chaos reigns above me well beyond my principled plan. Yet, for a moment, I have found my peace here trapped under ice." Peace is where your heart is! I enjoyed reading your poetry again, Kevo. Good luck with that computer of yours! misc'e |

Kevin -- I was wondering where you went. When I read this piece, I have mixed feelings. To me, it speaks of a supressed people who view the world from beneath the barrier of oppression. I may be all wet (tee hee, pun intended) but with this interpretation I find this very sad. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Sometimes being trapped under ice is not a bad thing...but eventually it will melt!! I enjoyed the way this piece went from yearning to a sort-of acceptance and calm... P.S...I've been having the same probs with my puter, but fortunately the good friends here are always glad to have us return!!! Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life |
