I wonder
What words the wind whispers
To the fragile leave in fall
That turns cheeks blush
And moves them to murmuring sighs
That remind me of how you
In half lidded release
Would begin to mumble words
Like
        Yessssssss
Then loose your own grip
And fall in a tumbled wave
Of what I thought must be color
Yet could not see through my own eyes

I’ve listened
And tried to pick out the phrases
So softly left on leaf
But wind seems to simply chuckle
    Silent whishes of vowels
To flood my ears with the moan
Of tossed clouds
Rumpled on a bed of blue
As if lovers who have tossed
Clothes aside and lay now supine
In an afterglow of sated summer heat
Too tired to dress
          Too wicked to care

They turn golden now
As the blush retires from tips
To stem

And I wonder
    What whispers in this
The autumn wind

Now you tease, because you KNOW how I feel about Autumn...

and as to what I hear?

why, that would be,

"please...

y'rogue you.

this blanket of leaves
play at your feet
as the giggle of wind
tickles with wishes
and whispers

Cpat Hair,
Mighty fine indeed. I always wondered what it was that attracted me to fall and now I know. Excellent kind sir.
