I sleep to wake
and feel those words
across the miles
knowing some links
are better than none.

I dedicate my smiles to you,
if needed and confess
they are painted on
through broken tears
and while silence is the order of the day
and I begin to lose the weight of the world
(or at least that of my own),
I would see in your eyes
that which you never could,
and know in your voice
that which never crossed your lips
and so I must lie to myself
to allow this untitled romance to keep...

I've been lost in the moment,
or so the mirror shows,
the darker side for now taking over
sometimes to torment
other times to remind me
that we are all strangers
trying to find ourselves
and how little a request can remain...
unanswered.

losing yourself in the moment, we all do this...but knowing that a moment is fleeting..and you wont be lost for long...you still can easily fall into the next moment and so on...until you find what is eternal.
