it's 2:00 am when:

Thoughts puddle in the corner
of the cerebral cortex as
nocturnal ramblings take me to
syllabollic depths in word pool dreams
hammocked between slumbering
bliss and severe truth of consciousness
a netherworld swimming
of creativity brief as lightning
bright as the sun.

when "over the head" words
can be encompassed
within a poem...
