All in Time © icyheart They told me that in time I would forget you. That the memory of you Would fade. They told me that it only Hurts for a little while. That time would heal. But no one could say Just how long it would take with eyes closed I can feel your breath Taste your sweet lips. The sensations caused By your touch The heat of your body’s Closeness. But with eyes wide open I have nothing but emptiness looking at me. It will pass is What I was told. But now I am old And still your, no Our memories made Still haunt me. Everyday, Every hour, Every minute. Maybe one day it Will pass but Can anyone one tell me… When? |

Oh Alan, that never ending question of when.... and I dont believe anyone can give us that answer, I believe that it comes to us when we are ready for it too... Hugs to you, this was painful reading, but well done writing. |

I believe the more you are open to loving and caring the longer it takes...but there will always come a time to prepare your heart for someone new...and that involves letting go and moving on...it involves a giving of yourself...in your time...James |
