And the roses wait,
       Patient, eternal.
Lovers pass along the hillside,
       Grass and the tides
Will come and go in their times.
       Days and seasons too
May grow and wither,
       But the roses...
Now that we'll remember them
       As they shimmer for us
In this very breeze
       They will wait with us,
Patient, eternal.
