When sleeping angry giants
wake up or snore
they often spit
wind and heat from deep within
their overly full,
agitated bellies and mouths.

Listen to the screams and shouts,
the rumbles and roars
as they open wide the doors
of the underworld;
and pray you
are out of the way
of the floodplains and torching zones.

No, this is not
just about volcanos
or hurricanes.
And I'm not suggesting
that we let them sleep
undisturbed, either.

Too many people are experiencing hell in this world.
Thank you for the link. It is difficult to find something positive in the news!
Still I believe in humanity to be able to induce a change ... we must all open our eyes and live by the law of love.
When will we touch the bottom, I wonder? ... it's time to begin anew!

Either we're getting a little dark here Midnitesun, or someone is doing a bit too much snoring? I want to go with the first. I like the versatility in your writing style. Very good.
