Pluck Little Rosebuds

Gather your thoughts on a paper sheath
Fashion your heart in a verbal wreath
Spill out the chalice of your belief
And you, a poet shall be

Scroll out an eloquent phrase or two
Capture the essence of morning dew
Write of your pain in forget-me-not blue
And I will pay honor to thee

Pluck little rosebuds that dwell in your eye
Acknowledge the truth that you cannot deny
Let passion flow ‘til the ink has run dry
And you, a poet shall be

the eyes which can produce roses and not see the thorns are eyes of a most unique soul...truth my friend "is" life...for it molds the heart in understanding and compassion. And you lack neither...thank you for this early morning read....have a wonderful day

Lizzy...you will never cease to amaze me...you are such a talented person...and, one of my favorites....the poem you wrote about me once, a long time ago is still in my 'folder' and when I'm feeling down I pop in and read it again....I don't have any rosebuds in my eyes, just 'duck butter'....see ya sweets
