Between the Lines

There you were,
as always
walking my mind,
creating a new path
straight to my heart
in the silence of the night,
where only the rhythm of the lost
emptied into a yesterday of tomorrows~

Fading into morning
growing stronger in meaning
but oh so weary from the journey,
I may search for the voice from within
that remembers and feel the gentleness
of a new day, and ponder
...what lays ahead~~

That was one of my favorites. I love it when you look ahead without forgetting the past.
