There blows here the subtle tips of change
Eminent across my skin in fear and in tremble
What was, breaks free in disassemble
Images are bare against the trees
My eyes slide from rope hammock to silken grasses
The lawn, a carpet of green beckons romp and roll
My face flushed hot against the cool of red and gold
Smelling the fireplaces in the sunlit air
Apples round and tart, more familiar…more
My own hands roam the forests of a thousand treasures
Lingering in yellow rooms of patient blooms
And silver slips the tongue of playful afternoons
Building decks that connect a tree house to a tall ship
Climbing ladders with vigor and sport
Laughing in the face of snag or bored retort
Clips the seed pod to Pinocchio’s nose
Shedding feline furs, the weather purrs, as I am in dispose
And honey glistens on the branch, like slippers for the soul
Beads of sweet dessert, a wild berry wine…and blows here in offered red
The very best of what was not, and still unsaid
And now…a plain review somehow…will settle to the floor
A coverlet of light and lore…and fuller than I was before
