Blue, Blue, my eyes are blue,
Spilling out and washing out you;
Blue, Blue, my soul is blue,
Losing all hope when I lose you.

Black, Black, the night is black,
Lightless and lifeless till you are back;
Green, Green the grass is green,
Morning has broke with dewy sheen.

Day, Day, it’s another day,
How many more I just can’t say.
Night, Night, I long for the night;
So I can dream and you I sight.

Red, Red, her blood was red,
Never return with so much shed.
White, White her stone is white;
Now nothing will ever be right.

Gloom

Ah, now that is not good of you, Sir...
to get an old tune going in my head
this busy Monday morning....

oh, so sad.

A gloomy good use of color imagery to convey the scene and the emotions.

So sad, but so wonderfully written!

Thank you, Seymour,
Pleased you enjoyed.

Thank you, Sunshine,
Sorry, I had not realized you were that old,
Stirring up childhood memories.  But, glad you liked the stir.

Thank you, Susan,
I was going to give this to a local group,
But they broke up, add another sad part to the song.

Thank you, LeeJ,
For the wishes, but today is dreary here

Thank you, Susan C.
You can cry on my shoulder if you like
It won’t hurt the leather.

Thank you, Midnitesun,
You are very kind in your praise

Thank you, Kellsue,
Pleased you enjoyed

Thank you, passing shadows
Always nice to see your response to my words

Now I'm humming "black is black I want my baby back..if grey is grey..." definately a song before my time but your poem brought that to mind and some other feelings..*sigh*

If at first you don't succeed destroy all the evidence that you tried.
