This Special Woman Yes, there was something special about Mary. The summer break was fast approaching and he could use a summer side kick, someone to watch movies with, take a swim in the ocean, share a romantic dance, and even some adventure. Of course not even Mary would be allowed to get in the way of his goal to become an adventurer, a world traveler and explorer. He felt that he was right on schedule with his goal. Already he was an ocean certified diver, as his mom liked to say "like a fish in the water." And he had completed seventeen jumps from the Bear Mountain Canyon bridge using a bungee cord he had designed and manufactured. Next Saturday Mary was going to make her first jump. His mom was not at all suprised when she saw how beautiful Mary was, and she knew that her son would treat her with respect and dignity, exactly the way she had raised him. In many ways, Mary reminded him of his mother. Like his mother, she was easy to talk to, giving him her complete attention, and making him feel needed and important. He knew that he was way too young for marriage, but he was definately old enough to start a friendship with this special woman. JamesLee September22 2004 |

I really enjoyed the telling of this story, it was a little different for you and a delight. Ever tried to do a bit of prose? |
