Drifting Down

Drifting on the human river
Puts a strain upon my liver
Draws me under the waters run
And places me a state of stun

My lungs are full of human stain
Bathed in acid of its pain
Tumbled o’er the rocks of wrath
Torn upon desires path

Even night will lend no peace
I cannot find the Golden Fleece
I swim upon a currents run
The fight with time cannot be won

The brine has eaten to the core
And I am close to never more
It seems the rue and anchors I
Has frayed and cut the hold of why

And though I grab the sight of straw
Still I drift to nevermore.

well sir, how bout if we all go in search of that clear, clean pool of fragrant waters, which will inable us to be young again...reality is the illusion? Yes?  We can make our own illusions which meld into a pot filled with realities...good ones...smiles and hugs...

Thank you!

Morning Sy!
Now we don't want you floating off to nevermore any time soon...
So until then I'll throw you a life preserver...
and a cup of Chai tea.
Excellent morning write as always Sy.
~Morning hugs, Nancy~

Good morning Jason! How are you and the Argonauts?

I too, am in search of the Golden Fleece. If by chance I were to find it again before you do, I most assuredly would be a sharer of its magic.

I shall begin my search for the winged ram in the constellation of Aries.

Don't drift too far down that river! I want to be able to find you when I return!

I'm off!

Even when we are too exhausted to sleep...
we must.

Can't say exactly where this took me, Sy...
I seem to be somewhere in the poet's eye...

The word "lyrical" is always foremost in mind when I read you.

No one does it better.
