When you think of what you do
understanding what is you
But you were never you
Until you thought you were you
Then you faced a challenge
Of why you are someone looking at you
Knowing you are you
Not understanding you
Because you dont want to be you
And face being you

The big question! Who am I?
To succeed in being "ourselves" is quite a deed.
Cute write.

Like Popeye the Sailor, 'I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam'.   Enjoyed this one.

I can be myself, and I like that, it's everyone else who thinks I am someone else...or wanted me to be?  Now, it's a walk through springtime all the time...and I don't mind the cold of winter anymore...

Thought provoking write

I've just put the spinach in the stew.

Thanks Nan

Dave

LeeJ

Nice thought Lee to be in springtime all the time.

I dont mind winter myself - it is fresh and as I indicated to Nan, I love a good stew to warm up on indoors.

Enchantress

Thanks for the "deep in thought".  I write stuff and I never really know, how it is going to go down.

Maybe if it snows, I'll eat my spinach and blow the summer back.

Thanks

I didn't expect the attention for what was an attempt at something.

Thanks all

I am me?  Oh shoot, better go back to the psychotherapist, I thought I had that personality thing all straightened out

No, I enjoyed this play on a concept - it's fun.  Almost like a tongue twister.

I understand this and it reminds me of an old saying, you are you and I am I and if by chance we find each other, its beautiful....
yeah, that made sense...lol...
seriously..I enjoyed the views into the different you's that we become. Well done.

The greatest beauty on earth, is
found in the hearts of those

Susan

Something in your words reminded me of part of a song:

Susan the plans they made put an end to me
So I woke up this morning and I wrote down this song, just cant remember who to send it to.

Oh I've seen fire and rain
Summer days I thought would never end - words from James Taylor.

Thanks

Dave

Sunshine

I would have had a word with myself this morning, but I was out at the time.

Thanks Sunshine
