Love Sonnet #24

The singing of birds at first glimpse of dawn's blue light
but I only hear your voice
the Sunday sun smiling down so warm and bright
but I only feel your warmth
the autumn scent on the sweet morning wind
but I only smell your hair
the last summer blooms painting rainbows in the garden
but I only see your eyes
the taste of ripe strawberries and sweet cream
but I only taste your lips
the escape of a midsummer night's dream
but I only need my dream come true
I only need my one true love
I only need you

"Poets are all who love, who feel great truths, and tell them; and the truth of truths is love." --Philip James Bailey

This was an incredibly beautiful and loving poem. I actually found myself sighing!

A beautifully written poem.  Heartfelt, sincere.  A lucky person to be the recipient of such a gift.  I enjoyed sharing in some of that magic.

Ah, the overwhelming sense of being in love-

Very nice poem soul drifter. However I suggest changing the title to Love Poem # 24 since this is not really written as a sonnet. I think a title change would be a little less misleading. (This is just a personal suggestion though. As the artist you have the right to call it anything you want.) I love the poem though...so please don't be hurt by my suggestion. This is really pretty.
