This Day

I roll inward today
not wanting to feel the faded.

When drained, I search the night air
for the coming of tomorrow

always wondering will it
bring me some peace of mind
in the silent night show.

Inside lingers the doubts
that scar the spirit

and douse the lavender skies with
hues towards the dark.

Today I wake painless, the releasing of,
easier than yesterday,

though the moments remembering
cannot pass without notice
and my heart, heavy for the loss.

Waking painless does take a bit of time and Im glad you reached that point and I see the smile even if you cant.  Thats the way with smiles, put one on for the others to see.

Your poetry floats across the page
leaving spectacular patterns
that whisper in the shadows.

Beautifully done and heartfelt, Maureen~
