An Abstract Sea of Thought

On high, velvety swans on outstretched wings,
Soar on the murmuring winds of concord,
So glide, the colors of love, my heart sings,
As I wait for my need to be restored.

Oh time's movement is delectably sweet,
It's as magical as this breath I draw,
And I knew a time when life was complete,
And the beauty of thee held me in awe.

Those days have been swept away by the tide,
They've been cleansed away by heartache's backwash,
Between us a continental divide,
Ensures that through the muck we will not slosh.

I once closed my eyes just to see clearly,
Your ardor for it was my only light,
But now I can say to thee sincerely,
No more in kisses would I drown this night.

Trembling from the recollections I have,
These deep breaths' are neither sweet nor tepid,
It seems that for thy love I was a knave,
So beneath the high seas let love be hid.

Anxiously I draw in my deepest breath,
And descend towards the dark underneath,
In Davy Jones Locker I would meet Death,
And this ode is all I have to bequeath.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Kevin,
I really enjoyed this write. The "thee"s and "thy" are too much for me. But afterall, it is your write. Nicely done. By the way, it probably comes as no surprise to that I always enjoy a romantic write.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
