I wrote a poem, just now. it's soo good. I hope ya'll enjoy it...

As the light passes across the floorboard,
projected by the other cars
I hold my book down to catch a few extra words.

I watch as a few blasts of light pass over my image in the window.
I see myself and just me.
I hear my own heartbeat and steady breathing
harmonizing and singing together with the roar of the motor.
I watch my own eyes blend with the moon, as the sky shifts and toils restlessly.
I feel so tired, yet I feel so free;

Yet I am not flying and I am not running.
I feel no wind through my hair,
but I feel the warmth,
As the light passes.

I feel so free while I see the real me.
There's no tension and no stress in this car.
There's only me, the driver and the road and the night.

As the time goes by I feel numb.
I feel the vibration of Led Zeppelin playing in the cd player.
I feel the Force of the music in my ears
But most of all I watch the moon and I absorb her  melancholy.
I compare my self to the one called Artemis.
Life is the road in front of me
and as we travel, I realize what I have and what I've lost.

And I live as the light passes.

Welcome to PIP, DarkDreamer.  This first poem of yours .... nice .... and it took me back to a similar memory years ago and a feeling much like you described.  Enjoyed.

cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am
