In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2004-09-03 04:02 PM

He leaves   me beside the river
silently

stillness hanging in the bough
of trees

I watch the shadows fall
and fade with the light

play the delicate music
with lavender tea
and the smell of cigarettes

even when quiet, he seems
to understand

and jokes anyway

peaceful break
of how the moon spills light
upon the water

the river of sound
is so unseen -- reaching my heart
and I pray for rain so we can
feel the water

Stillness of night
will you think of me in summer
as a soft whisper on orchid dreams

as

I bare my palms to
winters arrival
and the harpist of ambernight

words will remind me your eyes
are the color of storms
dipped in indigo ink

remember the laughter

as you

rest like a lover
in the walls of my heart

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am

Mmmmm, nice.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Your writing has an exquisite quality all it's own.

Lauren,
Nancy Lee is right, again!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

You're lucky to have a person in your life who understands
and accepts you just the way you are.  How could he not!

I'm so glad this came back up, it is exquisite in it's entirety.

Hugs honey~
