He Will, She Didn't....(Battle of the Sexes w/Gentle Spirit)

When HE is home, from work or elsewhere... this is not how it is supposed to go... (and she thinks
I will play fair) post a poem based upon
equality... and admit to possible wrongdoings in
past lives!

.....NOT.....

~ ~ ~

The seat is dry, I left it down...
So fluff your skirt, chill out the frown!
The bills are paid, the lawn is mowed,
woulda helped if you could have showed.

I was too tired, for goodness sake,
all night long you kept me awake.
Your whining is not what I need.
I've done my daily wifely deeds!

The deed we did was for the house.
Ya think I is a small brown mouse.
I kept ya up cause you owed me
my dinner hot... most certainly!!!

Dessert was craved, I thought you would,
you looked at me, misunderstood.
You'd think my life was celibate,
I thought you were my wifely mate!

Celibate? Hah! You are crazy!
You forget, you're too darn lazy.
You know I tried, was just last night.
All you wanted to do was fight.

Don't you talk about your despair
I could not find you anywhere.
I went to bed, again ALONE...
whilst you tried to find your way home!

The phone...it rang, till I did yell,
for that reason is all I'll tell.
Alone you slept by your own choice
exercising that rude loud voice.

So, if ya want to make a date
I suggest you chill out and wait
cause tomorrow is bowling night
and my form has to be just right.

Oh Lordy yes, the guys come first
I hope you bowl your very worst
so I guess I'll just go to bed
and rest my tired, coiffed weary head.

Another time? I think you not!
Now you have gotten me really hot.
It's not about givin you joy!
I need a man, not just a BOY.

And you know that it's just not true!
you know I'm still in love with you
even though you are such a slouch
who won't get his butt off the couch

The couch is fine, I don't abhor
for then I will not hear the snore.
And, I know I'm your number one
even on nights there ain't no fun!!

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Sheesh,  I didn't ask her if she had any of
your favorite tools in her house...ooops!

Thanx bunches Susan,  It was a blast writing
this with a formidable opponent...

Chris,  glad you got a laugh from this.  I
am sure Sis will too.  And the email was
hilarious!!  Thanx for the laugh.

Funtastic you two!
Thanks for the chuckles tonight...

This must ring loud and true in so MANY households!  Heck, it even brought to mind the movie Fried Green Tomatoes!  Great job, you sparring partners, er, I mean, true dueters!

Nance,  good to see you back on the blue,
and happy you got a laugh from this...we did
too...was fun.  Donna knows the game very
well...

KJ,  I kinda figured this would remind you
of something...me too!  Easy to write about
real life...sometimes too easy!

such insight....wonderfully done with much humor....

I don’t want the world to see me
cause I don’t think that they’d understand
When everything’s made to be broken I just want you to know who I am
