Charade (At Least Once)

I know a man that thought
that love would come to him
just because he had the desire.
He managed to convince himself
that he was in love with a woman
and she shared in the same desires.
It was quite a fanatical facade,
as they performed an extremely good show,
using all the right words concerning love,
in trying to convince everyone they know.
For awhile they lived a delightful charade,
believing that falling in love guarantee's
the other will fall too, but after awhile they
found out the hard way, that presumptions
concerning love can be far from true.
One time it happened to me, I hope
it never happens to you.

I think it happens to many....though sometimes
it is a part of falling out of love as well.
And it is not a fun thing...
