Onesie
By: Noah Eaton
8/28/04

Moon child, look at you shine,
mondays by dawn and tuesdays by twilight,
your plush strawberry social face,
beams as your sunshine sisters begin to awake,
your mother dances with flowers in her hair,
eyes like yours breathe music in the air,
unto the pure all things are pure,
off the tongue of the dance there is the cure...

You declare yourself of faith,
declare yourself a fortunate one,
our work is not design, but destiny,
so hum your instrument to everyone.

Ever wonder why destiny is made known silently,
maybe it doesn't really matter,
too close is too far, baby,
you can hear the trumpets only when you're walking,
with the heartbeats of our mothers and our brothers,
guiding us home after playing,
love fails only when we fail to love.

Can you feel the sun from both sides,
can you feel the sunflowers ignite,
can you feel the rainbows recite,
across the ocean of barley?

Cuddle up in your onesie,
cuddle up in your onesie,
cuddle up in your onesie,
CUDDLE UP IN YOUR ONESIE!!!

The dolphin you swam, the swan you flew,
the fireflies that swarm around you,
the extra halo you wore as a bracelet,
and a mother's tear as an amulet,
the world is your chlorophyll museum,
caterpillars become butterflies in the palm of your hand,
the henna tattoo on your cheek,
the mushrooms that bloom at your feet...

You declare yourself of faith,
declare yourself a fortunate one,
you declare yourself of faith
declare it to everyone...

Ever wonder why destiny's a demanding mistress,
when she only laughs with you,
too loud comes off too low, baby,
I walk softly in this herbal garden,
with the heartbeats of our mothers and our brothers,
guiding us home after playing,
love fails only when we fail to love.

Can you smell the sandalwood rain,
can you smell the breeze of sugarcane,
can you taste the parfet matinee,
in this patchouli parade?

Cuddle up in your onesie,
cuddle up in your onesie,
cuddle up in your onesie,
CUDDLE UP IN YOUR ONESIE!!!

You declare yourself of faith,
declare yourself a fortunate one,
you declare yourself of faith
declare it to everyone...

CUDDLE UP IN YOUR ONESIE!!!

But if the bright lights don't receive you
You should turn yourself around and come back home" MB20

Noah

So much truth in this!

"love fails only when we fail to love"

I'm gonna go cuddle up in my onesie now.

Your imagination touches my own! I am transported off to neverlands with your sumptuously descriptive writing. I feel free and all my senses are titillated! I enjoyed this reading experience!

Loves & hugs,
Linda
