It is the world    
    beneath my skin
       where my heart beats
          in less than perfect rhythm

where my life is always waiting
     and waiting and waiting
        for that addiction
          that can carry me
            for miles

and time
  can build up
    resentment or anticipation
      and the word bending just
         goes on and on
           and on

and unlike braille
   the feel is more intense
     and not just surface driven
        but deeply scars when
           at days end the need
              is still there

to share those words with you
   to know the feel of your day
     to count the minutes and
       even seconds that the heart
         will retrieve its beat
            and the meeting
               becomes me
