Picture by Josephine Wall * * * I wrote this for a friend named Lisa who lost her father to cancer last year. She was struggling with her grief so I wrote this in the hope that my words might bring her some comfort. * * * I have been in your position And I know just how you feel Some days can be a struggle And life can seem to be surreal Time can be the greatest healer This I know to be true As I share my own experience Through these words I write for you His spirit will never leave you Remember the good times you had No one can take away the love You still hold for your dear Dad 'tho some days you may feel angry It's so important to release Only then will you find The road to inner peace He will always be around you You might feel him in the breeze He will comfort you in sadness And he may whisper through the trees You may see his reflection In a gently flowing stream Or he my be closest to you When you close your eyes and dream He's still a big part of your life He is the brightest star at night For now and all eternity He will remain your guiding light Hold tightly to your memories For they will help to get you through Just call me if you need me And I will be there for you * * * "We are all angels with only one wing..... we can fly only by embracing each other" I am in motion |

Writing poetry can be used as a way of healing others ~ and ourselves. I am certain that your friend, and many others who may read this loving poem, will be touched by it as deeply as I have been... Love & Eternal Light, EA |

Perhaps the nickname of Florence Nightengale might be in order for you, a lady with a very huge compassionate heart. |
