I took second money in Dallas last week, The best that I've done in awhile. The best I can figure on my scribble sheet, I average a penny a mile. Sleeping in truck beds, eating from cans- The poor boy's rodeo style... But I love to hear all the cheers from the stands, It pays me a penny a mile. I guess I've been riding for seventeen years. My age really shows when I smile. They tell me that lately I've been smiling less, No joy in a penny a mile. I'd hang up my rigging and get me a job, But, heck, I'm just Destiny's child... I'll ride till I die, if you're wondering why? The answer's a penny a mile! |

I've read you elsewhere and you are one of my favorites. Of course, I love this being my name is Penny. Thanks for a smile this morning. |

I enjoyed this one especially. So many guys around here rodeo, mostly on the weekends because they have to keep the day job. This is realistic and well-written. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |
