Amid the urban sprawl the clutter of these tracts un-noticed in the rush this scurrying of ants awaiting patiently beyond the concrete shroud a hint of finery in contrast to the sound industrially that spins its' ever faster wheels a presence still resides undaunted by the steel to soften all that's harsh blank space is all she needs an un-developed marsh not yet consumed by greed it's there she sounds her call occasioned by a hush her spirit kept intact quite unafraid to blush "Serenity" she chants, "can still be found, come see, I'll show myself to thee." |

can it be found? You make the concept seem hopeful. All of my impurities are right here on my sleeve. This is Me"---Faith Hill |

Doc, I'm liking this one a LOT. I saw the inner city that hadn't quite yet taken over a small, umblemished, unpolluted pond. If that is NOT the picture you were painting, I'm sorry. But I really do like what I saw. |

Beautiful picture of something that will not be lost. I enjoyed this very much. "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

a very enjoyable read...especially the last few lines...serenity is a cherished comodity, or should be. Wonderfully written |

SEA, Thanks, I'm glad you picked up on that stanza. I think the focal point was the use of the word "occasioned"( can't even remember the last time I saw that in print). Doc Temptress, Good question, I seem to find alot more of it on paper these days. Thanks. Doc passing shadows, Thanks, glad you liked. Doc |

Sunshine, Thanks, you hit it square on. Overall, I try to focus on the contrast between things. I think it makes the read a little more interesting. Doc Susan Caldwell, Thank you. At least, not lost on some of us. Doc LEE J, Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed. Doc |
