You stay in wintery melbourne now, coping better with its cold than your frostbitten spirits Your web-logged words spoke of your addiction to life as an overplayed CD You hate to endure the same old boring tunes, but are afraid to expand your repertoire You confide in flashy movie characters, with their mind-numbing showcase of how to engage happily in mobile lives I relate to your high tolerance for the blank tv screen who smirks unfailingly, after each show ends I too place faith in the remote odds of deriving inspiration, solace, enthusiasm, what-have-you from fictional realities but i left your blog, without leaving a well of words, because i lacked the intuition to decide whether a comment about kindred spirits would be comfort enough [This message has been edited by kaile (07-09-2004 02:15 PM).] |

Heng...sounds as if you were really into this person's psyche... not an easy thing... and it makes me hope all is well... |

This had an unusual feel to it, I rather liked it, like stepping outside my usual box. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

My friend, you are such a sensitive soul. I enjoy your keen insight into the emotional layers that other souls reveal to you. |

kaile -- not only was this a deep river of expression, but the flow of it was really nice....kind of sad, but honest. ...jo |

Sunshine, yup, all is well. i just wanted to show her support because i relish in the watching of movies as a form of escapism. but i guess my words came out more melodramatic than i actually intended to. huggies for your concern thanks Susan, writing outside the box is one of the things i aim to do with my poetry, even though creativity isn't my forte. bummer! ha! Kacy, i'm blushing from your compliment hey Jo, i dig honesty. glad you think that this is true to the heart. recently read some of my earlier writings and can't help cringing, "gosh, i wrote so fake!". now, trying to play catch-up... thanks all for your comments, muchly appreciated |
