Ah, my lady..here I ponder as I sit in all my thunder as the morning winds do wander o’er the fields as before. For it was the morning’s flapping and that hideous tapping that took me from my napping, as I said this time afore. And now I sit and gather all the thoughts beyond this weather as my pens sit dry in tether, wishing to scribe of my Lenore. A beauty, she came calling...as my tears were torrid falling on the floor upon her knowing of my love’s wish to explore. But now the gentle lapping of the waters in their gleaming shall bring to lips their singing, singing loud beyond the door. And on the torrid morrow, there shall be but joyful sorrow as the butter you did borrow...took from me the all and more. So Now I shall sit quaking as that bird does broil in baking for a stew is in the making, serving I and my Lenore. Thanx Keth for the morning inspire... Just a short one...tis all... |

Brief, perhaps, succinct in flavor... what one muse will do to a poet... and a poet's inspire. Enjoyed, enjoyed! |

Hi Barry. Mmm now how can I not like this piece when it brings Poe to mind so beautifully. Well done my friend. Love it! Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history! |

Lol. Nice one Barry, I inspire and you stew me. Ah well the things we give for poetic inspiration. Loved this. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Lol, Well I like that I inspire and wind up in a stew. The things we do for poetic creativity. BTW. That's the last time I'll come flapping to your window when you're napping now I'm caught by all your trapping trapping me for love or war Just a raven, you have caught me to the stewpot you have brought me I find that I cannot my thought free to the pot I go and more feed you both, you and Lenore But you could be more exciting and some challenge I'm inviting you can roast me to delight in a tasty bird both tooth and claw to make a stew is somewhat boring by eating time you would be snoring and no recipes you're storing perhaps a casserole for four a tough old bird needs cooking more Next time you need a bird of omen remember that I brought the gloaming and at the mouth was somwhat foaming that you have caught me evermore don't think that you escape this warning for soon I know it will be morning my children rising with the dawning will come for you and sweet Lenore then what will save from beak and claw nothing saves, bolt tight the door. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |

Ahhhh, perhaps a challenge from the loud mouthed raven...against her master? BTW...He wasn't a she...SO, where did SHE come from....???? Challenge accepted...let the battle begin... (the things two adults will do to entertain) Sheesh.... |

She came upon a midnight dreary as he sat in ponder weary weary of her mournful cawing, only this and nothing more. For the oven stood most ready, and his hands, did grip most steady gainst the feathered confetti, only this....he might implore. Was the bird that did come calling on the porch of midnight cawing in her sit and teardrop falling, falling here before the door. She did plead her case most dearly, though it came to him most clearly that she never could win nearly as well the master and Lenore. So, bring on the stew pot boiling, as the water sits there roiling roiling in the darkness falling....falling fast beyond the snore. For a raven of her color would only add spice to the flavor and nothing else is gonna save her, save her from his lips and more. Game, Set and......Match....MagnumPoe (1)...Bird (0) |

So you think you're very clever, for in roasting me forever you have found a touch of weather that has brought me to your door. I'll shed a feather, nothing more now it ties me to your door And you think with stewpot brewing, I your motive misconstruing first you bore me with your wooing then you call me names and more nothing here that tells a raven what it was you're nightly craving nothing that I keep for saving nothing but my love for war just a love of war I'll peck your eyes and leave you crying my children all will see you dying, you will lose if you are vying, vying Poe before your door while the raven stands here crying, oh you fool it's nevermore Did you best me? Nevermore! And who said the blackheart raven was a coward cold and craven who believes a male raven held his own before your door what could hold me to your door? only butter nothing more Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Give up yet? Or....does the SHE Raven have a headache from lack of butter??? Twas the night for feathers brewing, in the pot with carrots stewing, left to simmer, ever boiling, boiling well as said before. For the bird she was mistaken, for the oven heat was makin biscuits for the master’s taking, alas, no butter...I implore. Was no butter, lock the door. And the door did keep the cawing from the ears as claws were pawing on the sill amongst the spilling, raining hard as raven’s soar. Stilled the rapping on the door. The master sat there howling as the stew was softly boiling, boiling on the stove top foiling, foiling her, he knew for sure. Foiling her with his allure. Then again he heard that tapping, such a retched, wicked rapping, rapping still upon the dripping, as the rains did damply pour... Such a ravenous uproar. And once the sun came calling as the rains did stop their falling he could here those ravens bawling, bawling hard for evermore. Nothing less dear lass...nothing more. Score still .....
